Link Round-Up: March 24, 2014




A French mathematics teacher is said to have devised a powerful technique for keeping classroom chatter to a minimum: Whenever his class gets too noisy, he simply writes a spoiler from Game of Thrones on the board. As in: “Oh, you haven’t finished reading A Storm of Swords? LET ME TELL YOU EVERYONE WHO DIES.”


Gavin Aung Than's Zen Pencils  is a blog with a pretty simple premise: take inspirational quotes and set them to comics. (Including Carl Sagan, Litany against Fear, Neil deGrasse Tyson) But Than has recently deviated his usual quotes format to tell an original story, "The Artist-Troll War." (Part One, Part Two, Part Three, Part Four) Kris Straub, whose webcomics include the pychological-horror of Broodhollow, the satirical sci-fi of Starslip, and the "I was Meta before you knew what it meant" Checkerboard Nightmare, used his visual gag comic Chainsawsuit  to make a response.
